Entering its fifth full year of operation the state-of-the-art Laredo Entertainment Center has established itself as the premiere entertainment option in south Texas and Northern Mexico. This multi- purpose facility allows affordable, family-oriented entertainment for sporting events, concerts, trade shows, civic events, ice shows, circuses, boxing, rodeos and more.

The 178,000 square foot, $36.5 million facility seats 8,000 people for ice hockey and arena football, and up to 10,000 for concerts. It has 14 luxury suites, four meeting rooms and a private club for 200 charter members.

In the past year events have included: Shakira, Elton John, Julio Iglesias, Cher, WWE, Santana, ZZ Top, Juanes, the Harlem Globetrotters, Ringling Bros. and Barnum & Bailey Circus, Disney on Ice, Sesame Street Live and many others.

The LEC continues to move forward with exciting entertainment beginning with a five-year run hosting the Miss Texas USA Pageant in June of 2004. In January of 2005, the best and brightest hockey players will gather for the CHL All-Star game.
